Joe Emrick has proudly served parts of Northampton County as a State Representative for over fifteen years.
As a husband and father, Joe Emrick understands these are challenging times. That’s why he’s committed to cutting taxes, reducing energy costs, lowering healthcare costs, and making life more affordable for our families and seniors.
Thanks to his steadfast commitment to fiscally responsible leadership and efficient budgeting, Joe Emrick has been named a Guardian of Small Business by the National Federation of Independent Business numerous times and has received endorsements from the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry and numerous groups interested in the continued economic growth and fiscal health of our state, as well as the protection of taxpayers.
As our State Representative, Joe Emrick is also working to preserve open space and the quality of life in our community. Joe understands that warehouse development is decimating our region and supports smart economic growth.
And as a former economics and American history high school teacher for 18 years, Joe Emrick has made it a priority to support our local schools in Harrisburg, voting to fully fund public education at record levels without raising taxes.
Joe Emrick was born and raised in Bangor and is a graduate of Bangor Area High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history and secondary education from Lycoming College, and was an Academic All-American football player. Joe also earned his master’s degree in education from Kutztown University.
Joe has resided in Upper Nazareth Township for 22 years with his wife, Christine, and their two daughters, Olivia and Zoey.
